Do you have a question about the Health First Triathlon?  Please click here to contact us and someone will get back to you as soon as possible.

IF YOU DO NOT ENTER YOUR CORRECT EMAIL ADDRESS YOUR QUESTION CANNOT BE ANSWERED.

Here are some recent questions that we have received that may be useful to others:

Q:  Once the race fills up can I be added to the waiting list?
A:  There is no waiting list for the Health First Triathlon.  Waiting list requests will not be replied to in the future.

Q:  Will wet suits be allowed?
A:  The water temperature must be below 78 degrees Fahrenheit to allow wet suits.  The average water temperature in the Indian River is usually higher than that at this time of year.  The water temperature will be measured shortly before the race per USAT rules to determine the official water temperature.

Q:  If I am doing the Sprint race why do I need to be out of transition before 7am?
A:  It is not safe to have people setting up in transition while the Olympic participants are racing and trying to navigate the transition area.

Q:  I registered for the race but cannot race due to injury.  Can I transfer my registration to someone else or receive a refund?
A:  No, registrations cannot be transferred nor are there any refunds.

Q:  How many swim waves will there be?
A:  That probably will not be determined until race day.

Q:  Where should I park on race day?
A:  A detailed map for parking will be provided within 6 weeks of the race.

Q:  Is there a host hotel for the race?
A:  Yes, the Doubletree Guest Suites in Melbourne Beach is the host hotel for this year's race.  The race rate is $99 per night but you must make your reservations by 9/6/2010.

Q:  If I wait until race day to register will there still be spaces available?
A:  There is no guarantee that any spaces will be available on race day.  Once the race reaches capacity it will be closed and additional entries will not be allowed.

Q:  If the Sprint Distance race fills up but the Olympic Distance still has space will you allow additional Sprint entries on race day?
A:  There will be a cap on the number of entries for the Sprint distance race in 2010.  Once this cap is reached the Sprint distance race will be closed and spots for the Olympic distance race will not be made available to the Sprint distance.

Q:  I missed a turn on the course and because of this I was disqualified.  I didn't see anything that indicated where the turn was and I don't think that I should have been disqualified.
A:  It is the racer's responsibility to know the course.  Volunteers on the run and bike course can direct you if you have a question but in all cases it is each participant's responsibility to know the course.
